The Vision

The proposed expansion will add approximately 9,020 square feet to the existing facility, transforming EPAC into a modern performing arts centre designed to better serve performers, audiences, community organizations, and visitors alike.

The expansion includes:

  • Expanded lobby and audience gathering space
  • New concession and service area
  • Dedicated green room and two dressing rooms
  • Large storage area for sets, props, and technical equipment
  • Multi-purpose rehearsal hall for dance, music, theatre, and community programming
  • Improved backstage access for moving large sets and equipment
  • Two affordable rental suites
  • A fully accessible stage that welcomes performers of all abilities

Every addition has been thoughtfully designed to increase opportunities for arts, culture, education, and community gatherings while supporting the long-term success of the facility.

Building a Destination

The EPAC Expansion will help position Drayton Valley as a year-round cultural destination.

By expanding our capacity, we’ll be able to welcome larger performances, festivals, conferences, and community events that encourage visitors to stay longer and explore our region.

The EPAC Expansion has been designed with long-term sustainability in mind.

Along with expanded programming opportunities, the project includes two affordable rental suites that will provide ongoing revenue to help support the Centre’s operations.

Combined with rental income, community programming, facility rentals, and partnerships, this approach helps ensure EPAC remains financially sustainable while continuing to serve our community well into the future.
